Teachers

eMINTS:
I teach in an eMINTS classroom and have been involved in eMINTS professional development for the past two years. My eMINTS classroom is equipped with one computer for every student, a teacher laptop, SMART Board, overhead projector, scanner, digital camera and an ELMO projector. However, this program is not focused on how to use technology in the classroom. The focus is on using technology to support inquiry-based teaching so students in my classroom are actively constructing knowledge rather than passively receiving information. eMINTS has changed the way I teach and students in my classroom learn.
eThemes:
eThemes is is an extensive database of content-rich, age-appropriate resources organized around specific themes. These resources are created for educators to use in their classrooms.
WebQuest Links:
A Web Quest is "an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet, optionally supplemented with videoconferencing" (Bernie Dodge, the originator of WebQuests)
